There was a time when (financially) rich people recognised the need for (pretty much) everyone to be looked after – they built libraries and accommodation for their workers and sewage systems. Now they stir shit and exploit situations and technology. Not great. I have no idea what their end game is. There is only one planet and off-world colonies are less likely than shit-filled colons and death. Not sure of my hypocrisy rating on this particular product but the EV’s we have aren't here to save the planet (just the car industry – blog post to follow, I'll link it when it’s done) and space races and ‘free-speech’ X-travaganzas are similarly perniciously indulgent.  Driving a Musk-box is up there with a fair few other “I’m not that fussed, ain’t my problem” choices all doing the world no good at all. The “all right Jack-offs” are sleeping easy. It’s a shame.
