Sound Architect

I’ll need to root out the details for these projects (and remember how I came to be working on them) but a few projects in the Lottery-funded, educational sector. Local interest too; Chalk to Mouse (2012) about schools, Voices of Jubilation (2014 – local Jubilee celebrations and recollections for all of Queen Elizabeth II’s notable dates) and Women’s Live, Women’s Voices 1947-1957 – which (in 2013) was an excellent clarification of how society was back then for women (and included a grim story of a local doctor killing patients).

I did some posters for the Women’s Live, Women’s Voices 1947-1957 and there was a dramatisation at Eastbourne College (where some elderly women in the audience booed the Dr character – raw memories!). Fascinating stuff. So many people all with their stories to tell. And you seldom know what people are going through. Also here is Piers and Promenades (2010) which I think I just added some production assistance to the project. It includes the amazing tale of the Eastbourne lifeboat crew (and locals) hauling their boat over the Downs to launch (in rough seas) from Birling Gap - wow! And Chalk to Mouse has a very funky 'double-sided-taped-in' extra couple of flaps to create a pretty extensive timeline – nice little design feature (bastard for the production team).
