This was a Rouleur book. Paul Fournel had already written ‘Need for the Bike’ and this was a reworking of this with the additional columns Paul had written for Rouleur. These had been illustrated by Jo Burt and he then created illustrations for the entire book, and cover. I was layout, design and scanning and production. I can’t believe I didn’t have someone else help me with image preparation (I’ll have to check my notes) but I’m in the introduction “Thanks to Jonathan Bacon who pulled this book together perfectly” so I did ok. It’s a delight to work on things that everyone really cares about.
