Vista Kingston
Vista Kingston
A glossy version for a salubrious London suburb of those local magazines that are more advertorial than hard-hitting journalism. Tina Cooke asked Raphael and me to create them. Another useful learning experience, and as I was copy-typist for many issues my typing improved considerably. I think Kingston had to become Vista as toes were trodden on but we pushed on regardless. Some local news and events, some fashion and property and ‘lifestyle’ (back when it was a little less jaded a phrase). Clearly of its time with the typography. Looking back I just wished we’d been a little more particularly about image quality and resolutions – you have to love the “I’ve got a 36k jpeg, will that work?” offers.
