Track day situation is a driver in a fast car who isn't too good on the corners but can right-foot it on the straights, to then slam on the brakes and pussy-foot in to the bends. Drives me around the bend. On A and B roads it's similarly someone holding up traffic doing 40 around the corners but then oomphs it on the straights (rather than pause and let better/quicker/fun’er drivers get past to enjoy their motoring – in a responsible fashion of course). And of course in amongst all this opinionated drivel from me is the inappropriate use of the word wanker – when I so eloquently in the Wank Diary look to point out that wanker shouldn't be a critical slur. I am contradictory (but will avoid a rewrite of that particular word in this instance).
